We are trying to sell our house. It has been a *seemingly* long process. I’m not a patient person by any means, so it’s been hard for me to wait for a buyer for our house. I’m working on contentment. And, through the process of working on contentment, I’m finding that it’s actually a very comforting feeling to just “let it be.” Focusing on what my job is for today and stop worrying about how I can change a process that isn’t even in my control. I haven’t succeeded yet, (if anyone out there has succeeded at this, please let me know your secrets!) but I’ll keep trying. I’d rather the content and comforting feelings over the fret any day.
Elizabeth C - Amen! I’ve been working on counting gifts from God daily for about a year and a half now. Learning to savor the present moment and thank God for it goes a looong way toward developing contentment.
