Taking risks is something I like the idea of, but when it comes down to it, I think I’m afraid of risk. Risk involves the possibility of failure. And, failure’s presence is not what I want to be in the company of.
Recently, I came across song lyrics that really inspired me.

For me, taking risks involves putting on the blinders and ignoring the naysayers and critics. I want to climb higher and reach further. Not only as an artist and photographer, but also as a wife, mother, and friend. I’m positive I’ll fall. More than once. Still, I think I’ll take the risks in order to be better than I was yesterday.
